HeatCore Hx delivery units
HeatCore Hx™ equipment receives thermal energy carried by the closed ThermStar fluid loop and transfers it to a productive demand. This source and delivery separation makes it possible to recover heat from particle-laden exhaust while keeping that exhaust isolated from the air, water, or process receiving the energy.
Air preheating and process water applications
A delivery unit may support process air, makeup air, process water, boiler feedwater, or another approved thermal load. Which one fits depends on required temperature, flow, pressure, materials, capacity, control response, and when the demand actually occurs.
Process air
Preheat air feeding an oven, dryer or curing line.
Makeup air
Temperincoming ventilation air forthe facility.
Process water
Wash water, sanitation, dishwashing, tank heating.
Boiler feedwater
Raise makeup water temperature before the boiler.
Facility heating
Unit heaters in production and work areas.
Thermal storage
Buffer recovered energy when supply and demand do not overlap.
Pool & spa water
Hospitality and leisure water heating.
NOT SURE WHICH LOAD FITS?
Tell us about your exhaust and your heating demand. We’ll help identify where recovered heat would do the most work.
Flexible placement and configuration
The fluid circuit can move energy between equipment in different areas of a facility. Source and delivery do not have to be near each other, and neither has to be alone.
Pumps, valves, sensors, freeze protection and controls are specified for the project rather than taken from a standard diagram. Multiple source or delivery units may be considered when operating schedules and capacities support the arrangement.
The combined operating case is evaluated before an arrangement is recommended, one source feeding two loads is a different problem from two sources feeding one.
Controlled and measurable delivery
Power Intelligence™ coordinates operation according to source and demand conditions, and shows when energy is available, when it is being delivered, and how the system performs over time.
Is it running
Status, alarms and the conditions that deserve attention, without burying anyone in raw data.
Is it drifting
Trends against the design case, so a change is visible before it becomes a call-out.
What did it return
Calculated thermal energy under the approved method, the figure an incentive process asks for.
Find the best use for recovered heat
A productive demand is essential to the project case. Request an Assessment to compare available source energy with your facility heating needs and identify whether a HeatCore Hx configuration may be appropriate.
Can HeatCore Hx units be added to an existing facility
Yes, an existing facility can be evaluated when access, routing, controls, operating schedules, and tie in requirements are practical. The customer and its qualified project team determine the complete retrofit scope. ThermStar supports the approved recovery equipment and system interfaces defined for the project.
Can HeatCore Hx units serve more than one thermal load
Potentially. A configuration may consider one or more receiving loads when their temperatures, capacities, schedules, locations, and control needs align with the available source. ThermStar evaluates the combined operating case before recommending an arrangement.
How is HeatCore Hx delivery performance determined
Performance depends on measured or confirmed source conditions, useful demand, operating overlap, equipment selection, control behavior, and installed conditions. Available sensors and monitoring can document temperatures, flow, status, operating time, and calculated thermal energy according to the approved method.
Which loads can HeatCore Hx units supply
A HeatCore Hx unit may supply process air, makeup air, process water, boiler feedwater, or another approved thermal load. The right load depends on its required temperatures, flow, pressure, materials, capacity, control response, and the timing of demand, which ThermStar reviews together with the source.
